    "body": "<p style=\"text-align: left\">A portion of Kirkpatrick Street in Uptown will be closed for construction related to the University Line project for approximately two weeks starting Monday, April 6, Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) announced today. </p><p style=\"text-align: left\">Bus service will not be impacted during the work. </p><p style=\"text-align: left\">Kirkpatrick Street between Fifth Avenue and Beelen Street will be closed to vehicular traffic 24/7 during construction. Detour signage will be posted, and flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic flow. </p><p style=\"text-align: left\">The closure will allow PRT&rsquo;s contractors to continue work to re-align Kirkpatrick Street with the entrance to the Birmingham Bridge and install new sidewalks, pedestrian safety signals, and traffic signal poles. </p><p style=\"text-align: left\">The University Line will deliver a modernized transit corridor featuring dedicated bus-only lanes on Fifth and Forbes avenues improving reliability and travel times. A new bike lane on Fifth Avenue will also enhance safety for cyclists traveling through the corridor. \u200b </p><p style=\"text-align: left\">Additional upgrades include new sidewalks and curbs, ADA-compliant ramps, upgraded traffic signals, and enhanced pedestrian safety features. \u200b </p><p style=\"text-align: left\">These improvements are part of Phase Two of the University Line project, which will strengthen connections between Downtown, Uptown, and Oakland while enhancing the overall travel experience for riders.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>",
