Bigelow Station

Fifth Avenue and University Place

Construction at this location began in June 2025 to excavate and relocate water and sewer infrastructure, construct new sidewalks, curbs and ADA-accessible ramps. The work also included installing underground conduit for station power, traffic signals and pedestrian safety systems.  A small amount of plastic fencing will restrict exposed electrical conduit until PRT returns in 2026 to install the station.

Two stops – Fifth Avenue at Thackery and Fifth Avenue at University Place – have been combined into one new temporary stop mid-block between the existing stops.

This station will have a new 30-foot bus shelter with an ADA compliant loading zone, seating, lighting, next-bus arrival screens, fare vending machine, emergency phones, and security cameras.   This station will include two bike racks.
