PRT Delays P3-East Busway Route Decisions

PRT will present alternate solutions in early 2024

Due to the amount of feedback Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) received during the public comment period for service changes related to the upcoming Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project, PRT decided to continue studying potential service patterns on the P3-East Busway before proposing any final decisions.

PRT will present alternate solutions in early 2024. Because changes to this route were not set to occur until 2025, this delay will not affect the construction timeline for the BRT project.

The PRT is grateful to everyone who provided feedback during the information sessions and public hearings as well as via emails, letters and phone calls. This input helps PRT understand the needs of the communities it serves, and helps guide the design of a better network that will elevate public transportation for everyone.
