Shelter Installation at Ross Street Station to Continue Next Week

PRT’s contractor has started building the first PRTX shelter at Ross Street Station located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Ross Street.

Ross Street Station will serve as a demonstration model and will be closed to the public until all components have been tested. Station amenities will include a 15-foot bus shelter, emergency phone, security camera(s), seating, lighting, and real-time arrival signs.

Construction fencing is expected to remain in place until spring/summer 2025.

When construction for the University Line is complete, there will be five new PRTX stations in the Downtown Loop.
