New Work Zone Established at Schenley Plaza

PRT’s contractor recently established a new work site on Forbes Avenue between Schenley Drive and Schenley Drive Extension in Oakland.

The contractor will relocate drainage and electrical infrastructure before building a new PRTX bus station.

To accommodate construction, traffic is shifted to the left and a temporary bike lane was installed. The sidewalk on Forbes Avenue in front of Hillman Library is closed. The crosswalk on Forbes Avenue at Schenley Drive opposite Hillman Library is open.

Construction fencing for utility relocation will remain in place 24/7 until May.

The contractor will return at a later date to construct Bigelow Boulevard Station with a 60-foot shelter and transit amenities.
