The University Line Weekly Update

Construction activities for the University Line continue on the north side of Fifth Avenue (from Market to Liberty) adjacent to Triangle Park.

The contractor continues to perform installation of a 12-inch water main and a 15-inch storm drain.

The construction detour remains in place at 5th Avenue and Liberty Avenue. The detour will remain in effect 24/7 until work is finished at this location, which is scheduled to happen by mid-November.

The center lane and the lane closest to Triangle Park are both closed as shown in the picture above.

The travel lane closest to Market Square remains open.

Bus detours remain the same.

The contractor is scheduled to work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.-5 p.m., weather permitting. The contractor may work on Saturdays if needed to keep the project on schedule.

Thank you for your continued support of this project.
