The University Line Weekly Update

Construction for the University Line began earlier this week on Wednesday September 13.

The construction detour is set up at 5th Avenue and Liberty Avenue. The contractor is scheduled to work Monday through Friday from 7AM-5PM, weather permitting. The contractor may work on Saturdays if needed to keep the project on schedule. The detour will remain in place 24/7 for about a month or until work is complete at this location.

This week the contractor began saw cutting and exploratory excavation.

Next week, the contractor is planning to begin installation of a new 12-inch water main and a 15-inch storm drain and catch basin. This work is expected to take 3-4 weeks.

Thank you for your continued support of this project.
