University Line Construction to Impact Traffic On 6th Avenue

For Immediate release (October 31, 2024)

Pittsburgh Regional Transit’s contractor will be paving the outbound travel lane on Sixth Avenue Friday, November 1.

Work will be performed on Sixth Avenue between Grant and Ross streets from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Safety personnel will help direct traffic.

This work is part of the construction for the University Line bus rapid transit project. When construction for the University Line is completed, there will be two 60-foot bus shelters with transit amenities at Steel Plaza Station. Construction is expected to be completed by Spring of 2025.
