PRT’s contractors are making significant progress performing sidewalk demolition, utility relocation and sidewalk restoration at multiple locations along Fifth and Forbes Avenues in Uptown.

The contractors are relocating water and sewer infrastructure and running conduits for station power and pedestrian safety systems. After utilities are relocated, contractors install new sidewalks, curbs, and accessible ramps.

When construction is complete, nearly the entire length of Fifth and Forbes Avenues in Uptown will receive new sidewalks.

Work will be performed Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
